Terms of Service

3.1 Account Creation

You may need to create an account to use some features of the Service. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.

3.2 Account Responsibility

You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the Service. You agree not to disclose your password to any third party and to take sole responsibility for any activities or actions under your account, whether or not you have authorized such activities or actions.

3.3 Age Requirements

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. If you are under 13 years of age, you may not use or register for the Service. If you are between the ages of 13 and 18, you may only use the Service with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms.

4.1 Prohibited Activities

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

• Using the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any local, state, national, or international law
• Harassing, threatening, intimidating, or stalking other users
• Posting or transmitting Content that is fraudulent, false, misleading, or deceptive
• Impersonating another person or entity
• Interfering with or disrupting the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service
• Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service
• Collecting or harvesting any information from the Service
• Using the Service for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent
• Posting or transmitting any Content that infringes on intellectual property rights

4.2 User Hierarchy and Privileges

MyMangaIndex employs a four-tier user hierarchy to maintain data quality:

• Level 1 (Administrator): Platform creators with complete permissions
• Level 2 (Moderator): Trusted users who can approve edits from lower levels
• Level 3 (Editor): Users who can add and edit basic information
• Level 4 (Contributor): Newly registered users who can suggest edits

We reserve the right to modify user levels at our discretion, including promoting users based on positive contributions or demoting users for violations of these Terms.

5.1 Content License

By submitting User Content to the Service, you grant MyMangaIndex a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license (with the right to sublicense) to use, copy, reproduce, process, adapt, modify, publish, transmit, display, and distribute such Content in any and all media or distribution methods.

5.2 Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for your User Content and the consequences of posting or publishing it. By posting User Content, you affirm, represent, and warrant that:

• You are the creator and owner of the User Content or have the necessary licenses, rights, consents, and permissions to authorize MyMangaIndex to use your User Content
• Your User Content does not violate the privacy rights, publicity rights, copyrights, contract rights, or any other rights of any person or entity
• Your User Content does not contain material that is false, intentionally misleading, or defamatory
• Your User Content does not contain material that is unlawful, obscene, defamatory, threatening, harassing, abusive, or hateful

5.3 Content Removal

We reserve the right to remove any User Content for any reason without prior notice. We also reserve the right to access, read, preserve, and disclose any information as we reasonably believe is necessary to: satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request; enforce the Terms, including investigation of potential violations; detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues; respond to user support requests; or protect the rights, property or safety of MyMangaIndex, its users and the public.

6.1 MyMangaIndex Content

Except for User Content, the Service and all Content available through the Service, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, and software, is the property of MyMangaIndex or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

6.2 Limited License to Users

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, MyMangaIndex grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to access and view the MyMangaIndex Content solely for your personal and non-commercial use in connection with using the Service.

6.3 Feedback

If you provide MyMangaIndex with any feedback or suggestions regarding the Service ("Feedback"), you hereby assign to MyMangaIndex all rights in such Feedback and agree that MyMangaIndex shall have the right to use and fully exploit such Feedback in any manner it deems appropriate.

7.1 DMCA Compliance

MyMangaIndex respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same. We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement as required by the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA"). Please review our DMCA Policy for more information on how to submit a copyright infringement notice.

7.2 Repeat Infringers

MyMangaIndex will terminate the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion.

10.1 Termination by MyMangaIndex

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including without limitation if you breach the Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

10.2 Termination by User

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion functionality provided within the Service.

10.3 Effects of Termination

Upon termination, all provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.
