Rylu, raised as an orphan in a rural village, possessed the ability to see prophetic dreams since she was a child. One day, upon hearing rumors of this ability, Rylu is taken in by Minister of Military Affairs Fröbel and is groomed to become a "Saintess," a potential fiancée for Prince Julius.

However, the Julius she admires already has a fiancée, Paulette, with whom he is mutually in love... Moreover, since coming to the palace, Rylu has been unable to see her prophetic dreams. A desperate Rylu is not only ordered by Fröbel to steal the position of fiancée but also faces the suspicious scrutiny of Prince Leopold of the neighboring country regarding her "prophetic dream" ability.

Amidst this, Rylu sees a dream that "someone will be murdered and the country will fall." Fröbel uses this prophecy to announce a false oracle, claiming that Paulette attempted to assassinate the King, and has her imprisoned. Given no chance to correct Fröbel's lie, Rylu is relentlessly blamed by Julius and Leopold. Rylu, reeling from the strong shock, loses consciousness and wakes up to find "her dead self" lying before her...!?
