Synopsis

The Fudanuki name is one that evokes disdain in the hearts of many. The controlling patriarch, Reizo illegally places him and most of his family in cryosleep with the hopes of further increasing his wealth through interest.

Twenty years later, 1992, one of the Fudanuki, Shiro, awakens his brother Ichiro. Ichiro, whose mind had deteriorated by the time spent in cryosleep goes on to kill his father in an act of mindless vengeance and heads off into the world.

Little does Ichiro know that society, much like himself, has also degraded in that time.

Initially serialized in 1970 before being suspended in April of that year. Serialization resumed in September of 1972 in Tezuka's own COM magazine before the magazine ceased publication in February of 1973.

Another early gekiga of Tezuka's and contains many themes and elements that one could find in Tezuka's later serials, such as MW, Barbara, and Ayako.
