Sheriff

In Japan, where prefectures, cities, and towns are now able to have their own police force in order to strengthen local autonomy, the hired police have come to be called ``sheriffs.'' Shinnosuke, a sheriff employed by the town mayor, spends his time chasing fish thieves' cats and slacking off at pachinko parlors, but when an incident arises, he shows amazing fighting ability.
