Since its publication in October 1970 as a "COM extra issue" (published by Mushi Pro), it has been difficult to obtain a copy for a long time.

Animerama is the name given to anime films produced by Osamu Tezuka and Mushi Pro. The term was coined by Tezuka to mean "Animation & Drama," "Animation & Cinerama," and "Animation & Panorama," and the following three films are often referred to as the "Animerama Trilogy.

All were billed as "anime for adults" at the time of their release.
