Kenzan is a struggling young painter whose models constantly flee, terrified by his naturally menacing glare. One day, he "rescues" a beautiful stranger named Hanae who had collapsed on the roadside.

However, Kenzan soon discovers that Hanae is actually a cross-dressing boy. Unlike the others, Hanae is completely unafraid of Kenzan's gaze—making him the "Ideal Subject" the painter has been searching for all his life.
