Among the suffering souls is Saito Kouta, an average ex-salaryman condemned to a 500-year sentence of anguish. However, a glimmer of hope emerges when a divine Bodhisattva descends from the heavens, offering the damned a chance at escape through "The Infernal Tournament." This deadly competition promises ultimate salvation to one lucky winner - entry into the heavenly Elysian Fields or the opportunity to reincarnate as a human again. Tempted by the tantalizing prospect of liberation, Kouta decides to participate, knowing well that the odds are stacked against him. As he faces formidable opponents and unimaginable horrors in the tournament, he begins to question the true intentions behind this celestial game.
