Modern Japan - One night when a meteor shower fell, dungeons infested with strange monsters appeared all over the world. People all over the world were now able to check their own "status". The days of peace have come to an end, and it has become people's duty to go into dungeons and hunt monsters. All humans are ranked according to their status, and the main character, Takashi Nakamura, who only has the lowest-ranked abilities, is ridiculed, but spends his hard days hiding in dungeons as a burden carrier for the strong.
