Synopsis
With help from Wakakuwa Kazuto, known for works such as "The Wind of Fight" and "Dandelion," "Maga" tells the story of a young girl's revenge and the grudges surrounding Maga's past. Ishikawa Ken's powerful writing style, capturing even the distinctive atmosphere and scents that permeate the work, weaves a unique world. Maga, a legendary monster whose flesh is said to grant immortality to those who eat it, was defeated in battle and spent over 2,000 years underground in the Taklamakan Desert. Kaede Shikura, whose father is an archaeologist studying ancient documents found in a dilapidated temple in the Taklamakan Desert, learns of Maga's existence from her father's research and travels with Dr. Yang to a depth of 1,600 meters beneath the Taklamakan Desert.
