Leopard Man
Synopsis
The imaginary special effects hero comes back to life! In the special effects drama produced by P Production, there is a phantom hero who disappeared during the planning stage even though a pilot film and comic version were made. One of them is "Leopard Man'', which was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Magazine''! ! In the summer of 1967, after "Ambassador Magma'' had finished airing, P Production, led by Souji Ushio, planned a special effects hero named "Leopard Man'' with the face of an animal. At the same time
as producing a pilot film for a sponsor, it was decided that a manga version would be serialized in Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine. The artist selected by Shonen Magazine, which was already shifting towards a graphic novel, was Kenji Namba, who had a reputation for his hard-boiled touch works. Unfortunately, the television drama version of "Leopard Man'' was not realized, but Kenji Namba's realistic portrayal of "Leopard Man'' became a masterpiece that will remain in the memory of readers.
Note: The Jiro version is digitized as part of his Masterpiece Selection
