Toshigo Hanamaru, a second-year junior high school student who aims to be the best pickpocket in Japan, is recognized as a pickpocket by Hikaru Nishida, the principal of Tsukihashi Junior High School in Chiba Prefecture, where he transferred to, and joins the basketball club directed by Principal Nishida. At first, he trains as a pickpocket, but as rivals appear and he plays more games, he gradually becomes more interested in basketball.
