Suoh Kuraha is a remarkably unlucky writer.

After being saved from certain death in the nick of time by an elderly man, he agrees to house-sit for him for a short while.

There is only one strict rule in this old Japanese house: never open the door to the back room.

One night, as a storm rages outside, Suoh hears a strange noise. Going to check if anything is broken, he ends up coming face-to-face with a demon!
